Silly Mistake

I made a silly mistake today. Maybe it's not silly..or not even a mistake to you, but it is a silly mistake to me.

I was looking for a birthday card at midvalley and was a bit rushed so I just go into this hallmark store, took my own sweet time choosing and settled for a simple card tagged under Humor.

I glance around roughly and saw no pricetag anyway, turn behind and saw USA 3.99 so my estimation it will be around RM13-RM15 and just brought it to the counter when the cashier told me:

Cashier: 22 ringgit.

And I PAID!!!!

Ok that's the silly mistake. Why on earth I paid RM22 for a card! Maybe it's not much to some..but I already budget around 12-15 and my character is..if I don't want it, I will say "No, I don't want it". Normally I just say, "alamak mahalnya, sorry, tanak lah". I don't feel ashamed to do so even though it's already punched (I mean, it's fair right, because they don't display the price) or I can easily ask her first before buy it, but that's why.. I just don't understand why I didn't do that just now.

I was too stunned and decided just to pay for it. Silly silly silly.

Anyway, this is the card.

Well, I know it's the idea what makes it expensive, but OH WELL, I can just copy it and write it in a piece of manila card. Haha kidding. But yeah, I don't want to pay RM22 for this mass card! I would rather custom-order handmade card. Sigh. But damaged is done. Just don't understand really, what had happened to me? Sooo not me! Maybe it's not my day!

My Raspberry Pies

I wanted to post about this during father's day, but work caught up, so yeah..this is last month's story.

I gave MrComot nothing for father's day..not that I celebrate it, but it's going to be cheesy if I buy him something, and I'm into cheesiness lately hehehe.

Anyway, I asked him what he wants..we were in the car that time:

Me: Sayang! Kesian sayang tak pernah dapat apa-apa from me. Cepat cakap sayang nak apa?
MrComot: Betul?
Me: Betul!
MrComot: nak raspberry pie *while beaming*

I was like, hah? raspberry pie? Itu je? And immediately I was imagining a beautiful raspberry pie and started to google the recipe and then I got confused, because I never knew he likes raspberry.

Me: Are u sure u nak raspberry? Me bake this weekend ok?
MrComot:'s not a pie. You know what.. it's a bla bla bla bla bla bla super powerful bla bla bla very small bla bla bla waiting list bla bla bla *insert nerd talk here*

Ok..apparently, it's a PC but super small, like the size of your palm and can do a lot of thing. So MrComot is super excited because he already has so many projects to do with it. Ok, I don't get it, this nerd thing but it's exciting to see him excited, over material. He rarely buy stuff.

Me: Sayang beli lah!
MrComot: Dah order! But in waiting list! Me have to order in January and July baru confirm dapat masuk list ke tak. Tak confirm dapat beli. Satu dunia macam ni *sad face*

OMG..ada ke barang mcm ni? Haha...gigih ok.

This is what I picture in my mind
Source: google

But, this is his raspberry pi
source: here

Now is July and he already received confirmation that he managed to get into the waiting list. Thank God! I can't imagine how sad he's gonna be if he didn't get into the list, and the shipment will start in August/September from US.

Anyway, we had a little lunch celebration on Sunday at Itallianies with my MIL and BIL and had

Smoked salmon salad with mango, tangerine and feta cheese. So yummy!!!! I have to recreate this at home!

Prawn fettucini with tomato based. We ordered this because I didn't bring Zahra's food that day, so she can share with us. Tapi tu pun makan sikit je..haihh..Zahra ni tekak melayu sikit.

We also had a pan of pepperoni pizza but my hands was full and forgot to snap the picture when it arrives.

Highlight of the day is my *another* raspberry pie.

He looks so poised and calm and such a good boy. Mommy's sweetheart.
Anyway, that's chicken + rice + brocolli puree.

But that's when he gets his food.

This is what happen when I lambat sikittttt je suap dia makan. Ish ish ishhhh...tak sabar-sabar. Wait til u hear his cry. Garang betul ok!

Thanks to my hubby for being such a wonderful dad to the children *if he ever read this hehehe*. Anyway you are my everything, so you are my raspberry pie! :)

Clingy Babies

As per our experiment before, we managed to secure them at the back... for a week! One whole week, provided:

1) The DVD is ON - Zahra is hooked on Spongebob Squarepants movie lately, the one with King Neptune and Goofy Goober Song
2) Emir is given snacks/food NON-STOP

And all of us will be happy until we reached home. But we had one problem. Emir refused to sleep in the car at all. Normally he will get his cat nap in the car after he latches on me. So when we change the seating arrangement, no more breastfeeding in the car, which means, no cat nap for Emir. So when no nap, by the time we reach home (around 10PM after we had dinner at my MIL) he will be super sleepy and so cranky! I don't have the time to wash up myself, even brush my teeth or pray Isya', I have to quickly change him into pyjama and put him to sleep = breastfeeding, and automatically I'll doze off until the next day. I tried to get up in the middle of the night to settle other thing but I-just-can't! Sakit kepala and it's very hard for me to get up. Maybe because I am toooooo exhausted.

So since babies@back seems not fitting our normal schedule, we change the seating arrangement back to the old time, where I sit with Emir at the back, and Zahra at co-pilot.

But it become worse! Seems like they miss mommy sooooooooo much, Zahra refused to seat in front, and both of them refused to sit in the car seat!

On the way to work yesterday - Mata tengok spongebob, tapi tanak duduk elok-elok.

I had to hold both of them throughout the journey, going to and back from work. For 1 hour plus each time.

So rupa-rupanya, Zahra jealous Emir get to sit at the back with me, so she wants to sit behind as well. Menangis-nangis tak nak duduk depan. When we let her sit behind, Emir pulak refused to be in the car seat because he saw Zahra sitting on my lap. So he wants out too. Sabar je la...

After few days clinging to me, I said that's it! I can't take it anymore. I mean, of course I love and miss my babies so much that I want to stick myself with them like what UHU glue does, but this is not helping everybody. Ambil kesempatan pulak anak-anak mommy ni! So I put both of them back at behind, and today with no blues! Haha.

Finally I truly enjoy sitting at the front. Before ni rasa macam, alaaaa kesiannya Emir..etc etc. Now... not anymore. Anyway, I have to be prepared tonight, since he won't sleep in the car. I'll try my best not to fall asleep while bf-ing him.

My clingy babies...mommy lovessssssss you guys sooooo much! You rock my world and I can't wait to be with you guys. But please help mommy to regain my depleting energy after a long day in the office, so that I can give my all at home. So please behave in the car ok?

Maybe I should start looking for other supplement. Currently I'm taking new obimin (for iron), acid folic, calcium lactate, and fish oil. I was thinking to take habbatus sauda with honey, but tak beli lagi. I'll share if it helps!

Babies @ Back

I've been sitting at the back passenger seat since Zahra day 1. That will be like 2years and half. Even after we bought the car seat, I still sit behind with her due to breastfeeding condition. It's the most practical position for both of us, where I can lift her and BF her easily.

Then Emir joined in, we put Zahra's car seat at the front - co pilot seat. And I sit behind with Emir. I'm fine with sitting behind but I think it's a good time for me to put both of them behind.

First, because of the airbag. It's not recommended to put Zahra at the co pilot seat because we can't off the airbag. Some car have this feature where u can put the airbag to off mode.

Second, I think Emir is ready to be separated from me. All this while, he has this privilege to sleep on my lap and latch. He is 8-months now..a big boy already. Furthermore, he will sit together with Zahra, so it won't be that  bad and they can entertain each other.

The car also equipped with centered DVD console, so I think they'll enjoy each other company watching movies.

Anyway, we tried putting them together at the back last Saturday when we were out to One Utama. It was all nice and easy during the first 5 minutes.

Then I started to hear some cries from Emir. Then Zahra started asking for everything.

"Mummmyyyyy..tolong ambik ni!"
"Mummmyyyy..nak ni!"
"Mummmyyyy...tak sampai nak ni!"

And Emir won't stop crying that I had to bribe him with 2 packs of BabyBites finger food. All the way to OneUtama. Sabar je la.

So basically it works! The DVD is not helping though. The food yes. And for Zahra, she got bored and wants to play. So I just let her play whatever she wants as long she sits tight in the car seat.

The first 5mins. All look good and happy.

We survive the return OneUtama journey. Zahra fell asleep and Emir as usual, I gave him another round of finger food hehe.

Today we put the kids behind again. So far so good because it's early in the morning so they just sleep throughout the journey. Emir woke up the moment I put him on the seat and keep on staring at me, sitting at the front. I think he's having some confusion, why I sit so far from him. He keep on yawning and yawning while looking at me. Normally I'll lift him up and BF him and he will fall asleep on my lap, but this morning, he fell asleep half way after staring at mommy *sniffles*

It's so funny that in the end, I am the one who is having blues of letting him sit at the back, without me. The moment we reached babysitter's, I smooches Emir non-stop because I miss him sooooooooooo much! And I feel bad because I didn't give him his 'morning comfort'.

And he cries when I walked out from the house. Ohhh my little sweet heart!

Anyway, we are doing it again this evening, after back from work. It's going to take 1hr plus, 1hr30mins if the traffic is bad, so we'll see it's going to be. Hopefully everything is fine with no drama.
